Don't think I've ever heard a pop song that had it's base structure a creak of a squeaky screen door. That would have to be a first for me. The Ting Ting's Soul Killing just has a feel good summer party vibe to it. It has the "I can bob my head as I drive down Pacific Coast Highway" beat. With lyrics speaking against youthful and expressive restraint from a big and/or small city this song just screams radio single. Not that being a radio single track is necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes you need a 3 min catchy pop tune to cleanse your pallet from those 6+ min dance tunes or those 9+ min orchestral arrangements.
