Its Monday May 28th, and today I would like to dedicate this daily mixes to the soldiers who have perished and the soldiers who are still serving our country a big thank you to them!, and this is also dedicated to all the hard 40 hours a week work people who get this day off to be with their families. Well today I will start off with a disco house mix from the The Magician ( he always has the newest and hot tracks on his monthly tapes), I also have another disco house mix from Zimmer ( look out for this guy, he definitely knows how to make your day a positive one with this mix). Now to change it up a bit I got a Deep Bass mix from Deep Head (This mix lives up to their name, SOLID tunes), and lastly a minimal dark bass mix from Porkchop (You want some great tracks, well here you go a long track list on this one). Oddisee is definitely a Dank Radio favorite and is in my top ten Producer/Mc and always blessing the fans with great free music. My favorite is the Marvin Gaye - Ain't That Peculiar flip which showcases Marvin's timeless vocals. TiRon + ScHoolboy Q + Ayomari [New Release + Free Download]

After his magnetic performance at Paid Dues last month TiRon has added two more songs to his arsenal of work. Earlier this week Dank Radio Favorite ScHoolboyQ dropped "Love Me Not" in collaboration with with another one of our favorites, TiRon. The song is  The track is perfectly devoid of overbearing beats or cadences. ScHoolboy Q and TiRon melodically drop verses that compliment the music exceptionally. Deceivingly simple, the song is grounded into a mellow house beat with the incorporation of old school scratches. Impecable production by Chuck Inglish, it's one of those tracks that you throw on and can't help but vibe with.

In Orange County there was No Doubt, Suburban Legends, and a whole slew of other acts that emerged from the Ska community that later grew into their own in many different shapes and sounds. Last year we heard news of No Doubt FINALLY getting back into the studio to work on their next album. The video above [First in a series of webisodes] gives us a brief look into their studio sessions as we patiently wait for the September 25, 2012 release of their sixth studio album.

Beyond Wonderland - Chess Village [Concert Review]

I know it’s pretty late for me to be posting this, but I’ve just been swamped with a lot – school, work, and music stuff. But anyways, even though it’s been almost 2 months since Beyond Wonderland happened, I think it’s safe to say that it was just one of those events that everyone can talk about this whole year, whether you were there for DJ Fei Fei’s controversial dubstep set at the ASOT stage or you watched Steve Aoki’s crazy live visual set. For me, I spent my entire stay at Beyond Wonderland at the Chess Village, which was the bass music stage. It featured the talents of Fury, Crizzly, MistaJam, Ed Rush and Optical, Magnetic Man, Camo & Krooked, High Contrast, Andy C, and Netsky.

It's those moments in passing at a gig or at a show when you never know who you're going to meet. Not too long ago I spun at a local Long Beach warehouse event put on by a friend of mine and the DJ before me was playing a lot of really cool indie dance tracks that I wished more DJs would play in opening sets. Made a formal introduction and gave 'em a heads up that I would be setting up my gear on the other side of the table. [Hint: New DJs please be cordial and tactful at gigs. Make peace w/ everyone you're performing with. No one really knows who you are and until you're being flown in on a helicopter or a private jet you're basically at the same level as everyone else. So play nice.] Justin was the dude's name and he said he just moved to Long Beach and to check out his website for some music. I checked it out and really liked what I heard. Months pass and he invites me out to a new weekly he's starting in Long Beach. What a great opportunity I thought to shed some light on who he is and what musical vibrations are emanating from Vitalic Noise.
