Le Twan - Lunar Bliss

OK. I've got a few things to say here first...

What happened to Disco???

Does anyone still crave it as much as I do? When I first started listening to dance music back in '07, '08, it was all about the disco. Fred Falke, Treasure Fingers, The C90s, Miami Horror, The Phantom's Revenge, and Justin Faust among many, many others were in my ears everyday. Somehow the genre seemed to fade away, usurped by Electro, Dubstep, Moombahton, and most recently Trap. I've been into all of those too, but nothing holds as close to my heart as good disco.

Well, I breathed a genuine "Oh, fuck! Thank God..." when I came across Le Twan, a Swiss producer that we plan to get a lot more involved with. Imagine walking on the milky way with the moon in full phase. This blissful lunar feeling is what Le Twan offers you with his new EP, out tomorrow on Sheeva Records. The titular track "Lunar Bliss" is a meticulous juxtaposition of playful melodies tinkling with the harmonies of old school synthesizers and disco beats. This joyful track, when heard on the dance floor, will linger in your mind as you smile, with the memory of your magnificent expedition to the milky way!

Enjoy a new favorite below, and come back soon for more from our friend Le Twan.

Garth Knight - Mainframe

I wasn't sure what to expect of an unidentified artist going by the name of Garth Knight when I came across it. I was intrigued, no doubt, but I was assuming that this was all a big, "Ha ha! Hasselhoff!" joke... The mysterious musician behind the Garth Knight alias should not be taken as a joke, however. The music is too fucking good. Quite appropriately, the tunes are heavily-synthesized and deliver to the listener that wonderfully eclectic 80s feel. You'll love it. Check out the story behind Garth's debut Goliath album and listen to a clip of the opening track "Mainframe," all below.

After being rescued by a submarine from Garth’s perilous cliff ride in his truck Goliath, Garth has managed to salvage Goliath from the depths of the ocean. With updated source code from Megatron, Garth Knight has painstakingly re-assembled Goliath to once again challenge Michael Knight and KITT.

Filled with awesome bass lines, killer synth hooks and percussion that will bring pure joy to your ears, Garth Knight is back to deliver outstanding tracks that will please even the most discerning listener. Prepare yourself for an incredible journey. Goliath rides again!

Jon Deke - Fap

(Photo: Trisha Lynn by Darren Pineda)

About two weeks ago today, we featured an artist by the name of Jon Deke here and the response has been great. Keeping up with his signature bouncy electro/house style, he has just unleashed a new one to draw palms to called "Fap." I love how this track is constantly building and driving towards a climax. By the time you're sweating from the heavy grinding and ready for the big drop, it just keeps going. Exactly how it should be. Nice one, Deke.

Devil Disco - Gritz

Just a week ago we premiered a sweet jam, "Street Jive" off Devil Disco's latest free Director EP, which is a celebratory release as he recently reached over 10K Facebook fans. That was one of the dopest electric, techno tracks we've come across in what seems like forever. Incredibly creative. Now today, we're taking a closer look at his "Gritz" cut, the second track on the EP. It's mega fun, bouncy, and has all my favorite things like cowbells and open hats, as well as one of the catchiest little samples out right now. Push play below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.

Will.I.Am, Britney Spears, Hit Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne, & Diddy's "Scream & Shout" Remix Video + Nikolas Degas Remix

There's not much I can say here. If you listen to popular music even in the slightest, you've heard either will.i.am and Britney's "Scream & Shout" original anthem or the remix with Hit Boy, Waka Flocka, Wayne, and Diddy. Well, just a few hours ago, the video for the latter dropped on i.am's Vevo. It goes well with the track's mass appeal and is a good watch but what I'm more focused on is our boy Nikolas Degas' progressive house mix of the original. After dropping a fantastic remix of Swedish House Mafia's "Don't You Worry Child," I've been anxious to see what's next for the man. Uploaded just a few days ago, Degas' "Scream & Shout" remix is already swarming the underground music scene. Peep both the aforementioned remixes below.

Renski - Collective

We've got a monster here, courtesy of our new Southern California DJ/producer friend Renski. We've featured his "Serious Business" single here before as it was released on our label-mates Social Security Records. That was one of the coolest moombahton jams we'd heard in a while, so we were anxious to hear more. "Collective," below, is a heavy electro, progressive-house tune that festival-goers and ravers alike will cherish. Go ahead, push play.

Vampire Party - Vampaholic

It's been ages it seems since we last heard from our favorite Spaniards over at Vampire Party. The trio (Daniel Anibal, Aida Groba and Chago Pedreira) have just unleashed their third official single "Vampaholic" and it's currently blowing up overseas. It's time we got it cracking over here. "Vampaholic" is a totally different side from this group, blending elements of moombahton, dubstep, and electro, making it the most eclectic Vampire offering yet. Stream it below, and stay tuned for a set of visuals and release information.

Quince Jone - SawTooth

Just one week ago today, we premiered the first offering of Quince Jone's eponymous debut 7-track EP. "Mind Fuck!" certainly fucked with our heads, so I'm curious what his latest "SawTooth" is going to do... The man, Max Fiedel, says "this is the track that started it all... It was really the first track in my new batch of music...where I thought 'Holy Shit!' The production is out of control." It is indeed an interesting cut from the release. Perhaps more mellow and chilled out than "Mind Fuck!" Stream it below and let us know your thoughts. And as is the rest of the release, this is a solid free download. Enjoy!

Devil Disco - Street Jive

It's been far too long since we've heard from our New York friend Chris Bolarinho, on stage as Devil Disco. To commemorate hitting 10K Facebook fans this month, he has let loose his Director EP for free. The EP contains 3 brand new original takes and an equal amount of remixes. Kicking off the release is "Street Jive," filled with sirens, one of the most electrifying synth leads I've heard since Daft Punk's "Derezzed," and a fast-driving techno beat. Push play below and be sure to pick up the free download. We'll have more from our boy in the coming weeks.

Quince Jone - Mind Fuck!

I first stumbled upon the Los Angeles producer/DJ Quince Jone back in mid-2012 and was immediately digging this dude's style. After a few months of chatting back and forth, discussing his upcoming EP/mixtape, it's finally here in the form of an eponymous 7-track free release. I highly suggest you check out the whole thing, but do not miss the opportunity to hear what is perhaps the lead single, "Mind Fuck!" It's heavily synthesized, a bit majestic, and all around lovely. Stream and download it below, and stay tuned for more from Quince Jone in the following weeks.
