Good Things are Always Worth the Wait. The DJ and MCee Duo of Self Scientific have been grinding in the game since the 90's and to this day still persevere to be one of the hallmarks of underground hip hop heads everywhere. As stated in my previous posts, music, hip hop will forever be an evolutionary thing, where it will change and move with the time however Self-Scientific has always produced work from the Glory Days of progressive hip hop. I don't mean hip hop joints that have electro or house infused into them, I'm talking about the grimey, gritty, passion filled hip hop that was birthed in the late 80's early 90's and fought it's way to come up. Unlike most DJ and MCee duo's, both DJ Khlil and Chace Infinite have equal and even representation on their work, both entities combine to make music that both hits hard lyrically and musically, a delicate balance that many DJ's and MCee's have yet to master. Throughout the years Self Scientific has successfully fought against the mainstream, and have continued to make music for the people and not for the simple pursuit of the almighty dollar. Even in the work they have produced previously Infinite has always mentioned the dissolution of Hip Hop culture through monetary gain.
