In celebration of SBTRKT's recent release of their LIVE album recorded/filmed at Shepherds Bush Empire London in October 2012 they've released the live video for Hold On/Migration. We've had the beautiful opportunity to see them perform live at last years Coachella and it was truly an amazing performance. It's so awesome to see their progression go from strictly ableton run dj sets to full on live performances. We can't wait for their next full length as well as next round of US Tour Dates. But I must say the track if I would have to choose would be "Stiller See ft Soia" is the one I highly recommend to download because the beat and vocals go so well together. Enjoy!

TiRon + ScHoolboy Q + Ayomari [New Release + Free Download]

After his magnetic performance at Paid Dues last month TiRon has added two more songs to his arsenal of work. Earlier this week Dank Radio Favorite ScHoolboyQ dropped "Love Me Not" in collaboration with with another one of our favorites, TiRon. The song is  The track is perfectly devoid of overbearing beats or cadences. ScHoolboy Q and TiRon melodically drop verses that compliment the music exceptionally. Deceivingly simple, the song is grounded into a mellow house beat with the incorporation of old school scratches. Impecable production by Chuck Inglish, it's one of those tracks that you throw on and can't help but vibe with.

For those of you who have just joined us recently on Dank Radio, you may not know, but we're all big fans and supporters of Jakwob. We've featured a hip hop mix of his on Dank Radio + Feature Interview on the site + Concert Review at Cinespace. What you don't know is that we've all been patiently waiting for a release from his own record label Boomting Recordings. Cue in Etherwood, Jakwob's guitarist for his live show as well as Drum & Bass producer extraordinaire. His latest release titled The Foundations EP [Download here or @ Boomting]will satisfy any and all late night thirsts for liquid drum & bass. The first track "Spoken" sets the mood perfectly as the sun slowly rises through my window this morning. If this is Jakwob's way of setting the tone for what's to come, we gladly wait for more.

I remember my first encounter with these ninjas like it was yesterday. It was a cold dark night in Los Angeles and I found myself at Ground Zero. As a young ninja myself.. actually as a pre-ninja.. I had no idea what was in store. My older cousin had taken me and my bro Nativity out for some music. Little did I know I would meet this instrumental bass and drum fury head on at this tiny coffee shop at USC. Indo-ninja and Outdo-Ninja were like a tag team of deadly warriors, and masters at their weaponry. With the advanced technology of 2003 the ninjas had incorporated new techniques into their presentation that allowed them to multiply themselves and their soundwaves in true Ninja fashion and completely break down the barriers of reality, melting the faces of all in attendance, literaly. Since then I have been a ninja in training, and have been anxiously anticipating the follow up of their smash LP Bra'ka dOm. Fast forward almost a decade, a tiny little bird tells me that the third and final self-titled Ninja Academy album is ready for the light of day and ready to take over new eardrums all over the planet.

Speaking of his sets, he's going to be performing later on TONIGHT at the Dubtroit 3 Year Anniversary w/ 12th Planet over at The Observatory.
