I recently stumbled upon Artifact through a Resident Advisor feature on him last month. It was interesting to find out how he went from creating dubstep into his current four on the floor interpretations. I was going to hoard his track Brittle Bones for personal dj use, but being that it is a FREE download through Local Action Records I reminded myself, "Sharing is Caring". [via] As I stated earlier today with my first post that we were going to start things off nice and slow and increase the tempo with each post. I think everyone's ready for something faster than 130 bpm. Not sure if everyone out there listens to any UK Garage or even Ghetto Tech or Juke music. But I've grown to quite a liking to it over the past few months or so. I wished there would be more local DJs who'd spin it in the club. It truly is the perfect music to get crowds crazy phreaky in the most positive way possible. The mix below is an exclusive to URB, but I feel that you all should check it out as well. Not 100% sure how I was introduced to Bok Bok. It might have been Fabricated or I heard his track Look [Purchase @ Night Slugs | Juno] on either a SBTRKT or Pearson Sound mix. Either way I was extremely glad to discover his Bass music. It was a nice break from the build ups and drops that have become the norm in other forms of Bass tunes. Scion AV had the opportunity to interview him to find out how his club night morphed into a record label, and how he describes his own sound.
