For all of our Northern California readers/supporters who have expressed the need for bigger musical festival type events we have something coming up at the end of this month that may float your boat. Launch 2012 is a Music + Design + Fashion Festival slated to happen at Cesar Chavez Park in Sacramento CA on July 23 - 28. All throughout the week they will be showcasing different designers and artists throughout town and at the end of the week on the 28th they'll be closing things out with the likes of Chromeo + DJ Shadow + Grouplove + !!! + More. If this were a lot closer I'd definitely make it out to the event. Visual promotional aids are available down below...

Our Nor Cal hommies from HOF, who throw quite a party might I had, are about to release a new summertime, out at the pool with scantily clad beautiful creatures enjoying ourselves w/ various inebriants, type of track by the likes of La Zebra featuring vox by C Plus. A definite addition to any and all djs working on expanding their sunshine party crates. I will be requesting this track from Sir HOF so I can include it in my summertime sets. For those of you who would like to show your support, the track will be released by HOF Records on July 13th [Friday the 13th o0000oo0o0o!]. So be sure to grab your copy and tell them I sent you.

I can smell my neighbors bbq carne asadas and chicken. There's no work and no school for most of us so it's all fun times all around. Hope everyone has a good time and please be safe out there. Tonight they will be stopping by House of Blues in Anaheim, and next week they will be stopping by the House of Blues on Sunset. Make sure you see Katchafire in a town near you! I first heard the combining of the two blazing forces Cypress Hill X Rusko's 'Roll It Light It' from a live video of Rusko at the Wiltern last year. Apparently there's a collaboration titled Cypress X Rusko EP, set to release this April 2012, just in time for my birthday. I can't wait to hear a fresh handful of Cypress Hill rhymes over Rusko's bass and beats.
