I don't think I've ever had a bad conversation with him, nor have I seen him spin a lackluster set. Always on his toes and ready to share the latest and greatest bass music. Speaking of his sets, he's going to be performing later on TONIGHT at the Dubtroit 3 Year Anniversary w/ 12th Planet over at The Observatory. I was at the Dubtroit 2 Year Anniversary and that was one hell of a night. I can only imagine the insanity which will ensue later on. Tickets are still available, but it may sell out soon. [via] Uhm. How do I put this tactfully? Well, Die Antwoord has always been slightly difficult for me to digest. It might be the shock factor. One thing I'll give them is they demand attention. You can't help but check these guys out. In addition to their gravitating attention they put on one hell of a show. It's like combining the late 80s/early 90s stage presence of Red Hot Chilli Peppers + the insanity and shock value of someone like Slipknot. Any hoo, I'm really diggin' their track above "I Fink U Freeky". I think it's a multi use DJ track if applied in the correct way. We posted the music video for this amazing song not too long ago and I don't care if you've had enough of the song because we haven't. Nero's Me & You is quite the epic tune. One that I can't wait to hear through a speaker stack 5 stories tall. The intro drum pattern with the ascending synth lines all build up to the distorted guitar lick which breaks out into a pure stadium rock hook. Alana then proceeds to repeat the question "Are you ready?" and you scream at the top of your lungs "Yes!!!". Well, that's how I picture things will be like later this week when they perform at Together As One.
