Beatrock Music - Anniversary Celebration [Concert Review]

As a follow up to the Feature Interview I did with Fatgums I ventured to The Cellar in downtown Long Beach to join in on the Beatrock Music Anniversary Celebration. Unfortunately due to prior commitments I wasn't able to attend the whole event and was only able to catch Bambu's set. But no matter, his set was more than enough to get my filling of Beatrock.

Bambu started off his set with his rendition of the Das Racist song called, "Who's That? Brooown!" and the crowd began to grow around the stage. The spark of energy that ignited the crowd was the song Chairman Mao and this one spark kept the flame going for the whole night right until Bam's closing song The Queen Is Dead. His performance was a complete set with call and response, happy birthday banter with DJ Phatrick, and props to all the High School educators in the room.

Congratulations to Beatrock Music. One year down, and many more to come.
