For all of our Northern California readers/supporters who have expressed the need for bigger musical festival type events we have something coming up at the end of this month that may float your boat. Launch 2012 is a Music + Design + Fashion Festival slated to happen at Cesar Chavez Park in Sacramento CA on July 23 - 28. All throughout the week they will be showcasing different designers and artists throughout town and at the end of the week on the 28th they'll be closing things out with the likes of Chromeo + DJ Shadow + Grouplove + !!! + More. If this were a lot closer I'd definitely make it out to the event. Visual promotional aids are available down below...

For those of us who like to celebrate this nations holiday in the comfort of our home have no fear. I have the musical solution for your hungry ears. The Roots is doing a live stream of their 4th Annual 4th of July Jam. Daryl Hall is currently singing his universally known track, "I Can't Go For That", just as I'm typing this out. Once again Ayomari & TiRon have dropped yet another brand new track and much like their previously released "She Love Me Not" featuring ScHoolboy Q and "Here They Come" it's a banger. Released just a few weeks ago Ayomari & TiRon's new single "Radio" makes you think. The sound is down right bold and even eerie but it compliments the song's message ; Media Dictates What We Know and if we're not careful it can turn us into modern day zombies, no feelings, no thoughts, just following. The omission of social responsibility to be informed, aware and question everything that's spoon fed to us through the media only stands to perpetuate vapid lifestyles and disillusionment. So think of this song as your cootie shot for stupidity. This track is just one off their much anticipated album "HNGRY" set to drop in July.
