Stumbled upon this music video a day or two ago. I'm really diggin' the dreary gloomy wintery soundscapes and visual aids for Free The Robot's track Ophic ft. Jessie Jones. Ms. Jones' vocals adds the perfect touch to the droning piano chords. The track is best served early morning or late evening/super early morning. Not meant for "Woo Hoo! We're alive and I have a sh)(t ton of energy" moments during the day.

It's been a year since dj Mehdi's tragic passing, and today musicians and fans all around the world will never forget. His passion for music when he is on stage and is smiling and just getting down to the tracks he is playing is something I  will never forget. One of the most memorable moments in my life was Hard nye 2010. When Mehdi took the stage I knew I would never forget this moment because of the energy he puts out in every show and the way he show how much he LOVES music. This Album is going to end summer with a bang and set new sound into our airwaves across the world into the fall. The sound of his featured track "Calle F" definitely has that smooth mala bassline influenced with Cuban sound. And what's even better his track "Cuba Electronic" is just DANK, you can hear how this track has that reggae dub feel but those tribal sounds just make it seem why the title of this album stands. Set to release on September 10th, 2012.

And since it's debut at the L.A Historic Park aka "The Cornfields", Hard Summer has been stepping up their game with more artist and even making it two days this year. Last year we saw the debut of Gesaffelstein and Carte Blanche. This year I am going to show you why you shouldn't  arrive at the festival "fashionably late".

Starting today until Hard Summer, Dank Radio will be sharing weekly post about artist that you don't want to miss. This years line up is pretty stacked and you have to tip your hat to hard this year because they really are booking some talented & young artist.
