Eccentric Revelation: Artwork of Wake Up! by Z

Official: Z

One year ago TODAY marks the birth of BEATMASTER's [e]ccentricity. The 'Wake Up' album artwork is a visual response to the frequencies of the powerful tune created by the interstellar multi-instrumentalists known as Z. Inspired by the Legend of the Sun, the design's imagery and palette showcases our most sacred source of light and energy. Exhibiting my roots to the Philippine Islands, the 8 Sun rays represent the first 8 provinces of the Philippines that first revolted against Spain sparking Revolution and Independence. The 6 repetitions of Wake Up! represent the balance and connectivity between the world and the universe. In between both 6 and 8 is the [e]ye of the Sun which forms by two 7's combining together to create the letter Z. The number 7 symbolizes completion, which relates to the music's fulfilling and healing properties. The band is currently on tour with the Illusionists on the second leg of their Mega World Tour with stops in Mexico, Ecuador, Columbia, and Panama. Check out their debut album ARIZE - The Prequel. SMOG presents: Rustie @ SMOG Sundays 5/20/12 [Concert Review]

SMOG presents: Rustie [Warp Records] @ SMOG Sundays//Dim Mak Studios

Big ups and many thanks to Drew and everyone w/ the SMOG crew for their continued support + hospitality. By far some of the easiest + coolest cats to work with. We made the trek up to hollyhood on holiest of days, the Sabbath. For some it's a day of rest and for those like us it's a day to absorb and experience new music. We brought along our fellow alien artist travelers, Bass Commander + T'Challa Lee from the band Z, along with us so they too could experience this form of Bass music first hand...
