One year ago TODAY marks the birth of BEATMASTER's [e]ccentricity. The 'Wake Up' album artwork is a visual response to the frequencies of the powerful tune created by the interstellar multi-instrumentalists known as Z. Inspired by the Legend of the Sun, the design's imagery and palette showcases our most sacred source of light and energy. Exhibiting my roots to the Philippine Islands, the 8 Sun rays represent the first 8 provinces of the Philippines that first revolted against Spain sparking Revolution and Independence. The 6 repetitions of Wake Up! represent the balance and connectivity between the world and the universe. In between both 6 and 8 is the [e]ye of the Sun which forms by two 7's combining together to create the letter Z. The number 7 symbolizes completion, which relates to the music's fulfilling and healing properties. The band is currently on tour with the Illusionists on the second leg of their Mega World Tour with stops in Mexico, Ecuador, Columbia, and Panama. Check out their debut album ARIZE - The Prequel. Beyond Wonderland - Chess Village [Concert Review]

I know it’s pretty late for me to be posting this, but I’ve just been swamped with a lot – school, work, and music stuff. But anyways, even though it’s been almost 2 months since Beyond Wonderland happened, I think it’s safe to say that it was just one of those events that everyone can talk about this whole year, whether you were there for DJ Fei Fei’s controversial dubstep set at the ASOT stage or you watched Steve Aoki’s crazy live visual set. For me, I spent my entire stay at Beyond Wonderland at the Chess Village, which was the bass music stage. It featured the talents of Fury, Crizzly, MistaJam, Ed Rush and Optical, Magnetic Man, Camo & Krooked, High Contrast, Andy C, and Netsky.

This is MASSIVE. We've had the extreme opportunity to not only see Skream and Benga perform individually [Check out the video we did for the Skream show @ SMOG 5 Year Anniversary] to a raging crowd of bass heads, but we've also seen them combine forces like Goku and Vegeta to go Super Saiyan 3 on a full warehouse room at HARD Haunted. So when I see Skream's facebook post this morning that him and his stutter bar buddy Benga are returning to the states, AGAIN, I mentally jump up and down like a crazy .sin wav in Massive. Skream and Benga are taking the following musical friends of theirs along with them for the ride: Plastician / SGT Pokes / Jackmaster / Hijak / Artwork [West Coast Dates only] / Alvin Risk [West Coast Dates only]. If they're swinging by your region do whatever you can to see the this tour live. You might want to bring a pair of ear plugs as well since you're bound to have permanent ear damage from the onslaught of lower frequencies.

Below you will find Skream + Benga + Artwork = Magnetic Man perform Whip My Hair by Willow Smith. This will have to be my third or fourth video of watching them perform "live" with laptops and all. I'm still curious as to who's on which program and which computer is running the time code and leading the session. If anyone can shed some light on this please let us know!
