[via] Many thanks to everyone at hypertrak for extracting all the info from Odd Future's press release video. In true Odd Future they've taken it upon themselves to inform their fans about the upcoming release of OF Tape Vol. 2 on March 19/20th on Odd Future Records [Sony/RED distro]. OF Tape Vol. 2 will feature Tyler, Hodgy, Domo, The Internet, Left Brain, Frank Ocean, and Mike G. North American + UK Tour will occur during March into April with North American tour dates yet to be released. More info about their Adult Swim series "Loiter Squad" as well as Tyler and Mellowhype's 2012 releases are included in the video.

I just received The Internet's debut album Purple Naked Ladies in the mail at the top of the new year and to be honest I was completely caught off guard, in the best way. Purple Naked Ladies gives new dynamics to Odd Future and showcases the fun and extraordinary personalities of Syd tha Kyd + Matt Martian. Here is a quick peek into what they have been enjoying in the last year. I can't wait to sit down with them to find out more about their influences and the creation of the album.

No explanation necessary. It's going to be a fun show. After seeing Duck Sauce + Boys Noize + Chromeo + Skrillex + Odd Future perform at Coachella this year, the opportunity to see them again is definitely a treat. I'm looking forward to seeing Carte Blanche [DJ Mehdi & Riton] perform since I missed them the last time they were in town. I'm also extremely excited to finally see Siriusmo perform live. If you have yet to get a copy of his latest release Mosaic [Purchase @ Modeselektor | Juno | Amazon] go get it. I know fabricated can't wait to see Noisia + Caspa + Emalkay + Nero. About a week ago, G1ocks told [e]ccentric and I to check out this group's performance on Jimmy Fallon. I had it all loaded up in 720p but he told me to wait a second and to pull up another video to watch first. The clip was A Tribe Called Quest & Leaders of The New School's performance of Scenario on The Aresenio Hall show from 1992. G1ocks then proceeded to explain who the Leaders of The New School were and to pay close attention to Busta Rhymes' performance. So when we finally watched Tyler, The Creator and Hodgy Beats of Odd Future (OFWGKTA | Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) perform Sandwitches, it all clicked. Do you see the similarities in energy?
