We here at Dank Radio like to know our history. Not just of music and where certain vibes have emerged from, but history in general. While many are clamoring and arguing on the direction dubstep has taken in recent year or so, there are many who forget where it comes from. They don't really get it's roots. Like fabricated described in his wrap up of Hatcha's performance at SMOG not too long ago, Hatcha is one to educate. In preparation of his upcoming Fabric set this Friday Jan. 18th at Fabric, Fabric has released an oldie set from him circa 2004. Unfortunately we don't have the track list for it. So you're just going to have to let it ride and enjoy the vibes.

A$AP Rocky - Fashion Killa (Druid Cloak Remix) [Free Download]
Druid Cloak, Druid Cloak, Druid Cloak. Say it three times super fast in front of a mirror and you'll turn into a magical musical merlin. No, you probably won't, but you will etch in your mind the name of the fellow, Druid Cloak. I've been spinning various tracks from his recently released EP titled, The Grove [Purchase it @ Beatport | iTunes | Juno], on a handful of recent Dank Radio broadcasts. He's been on many "Who to look out for in 2013" lists. To put it plainly, yes you should keep an eye or two out for this dude. He has yet to do an extensive touring throughout the US, but I can only imagine what he has in store for SXSW. Download his his remix of A$AP Rocky's track Fashion Killa here. Click below for a stream of the track.

Disclosure - What's In Your Head
Disclosure : Facebook | Soundcloud | Forthcoming on Greco-Roman 6/4/12
The brothers Disclosure have done it again. They've provided us with another sexxxi and stellar song to dance our night away to. With their reach expanding well outside of the United Kingdom the internet has fallen in love with their productions like I knew they would. Can the release of their upcoming album come any faster? Right now we'll have to manually put this song on repeat...

Artifact - Brittle Bones / Freezedry [Free Download]
I recently stumbled upon Artifact through a Resident Advisor feature on him last month. It was interesting to find out how he went from creating dubstep into his current four on the floor interpretations. I was going to hoard his track Brittle Bones for personal dj use, but being that it is a FREE download through Local Action Records I reminded myself, "Sharing is Caring". These tracks are too good to not be played on the dance floor. If you don't go from the casual head bob to full on body movements there's something wrong with you or the sound system in the club. Press Play...

Disclosure - Boiling ft. Sinead Harnett [Forthcoming Release]
Disclosure : Facebook | Soundcloud | Forthcoming on Greco-Roman 6/4/12
We first introduced you all to the two brothers back in June of 2011 and in less than a years time their music has spread like wildfire on the internet. In addition to their stellar production and amazing live stage performance, their music has been championed by the likes of SBTRKT and a whole slew of UKG producer/djs. They have yet to disappoint and for those of us here in the US we wait patiently for a tour to arrive at our shores. While we wait, we'll have no choice but to enjoy their amazing songs...

Monkey Wrench - Anything For You / Colombia [Rip from Dismantle's Rinse FM Mix]
Monkey Wrench - Facebook | Twitter | Soundcloud
Dismantle did a facebook post about these guys from Bristol not too long ago and I was extremely happy when I pressed play. The use of the R&B Vocal samples are amazing on these two UKG tracks. The original songs were songs that we used to always jamm out to or grind to at school dances way back in the day. So for these gents to take that same nostalgic feel and relate it to music that I've currently really taking a liking to is just plain amazing. Hear it for yourself...

Ital Tek - Exclusive Mix (Podcast) [DJ Mix + Tracklist]
Ital Tek : Official | Urb : Official
[via] As I stated earlier today with my first post that we were going to start things off nice and slow and increase the tempo with each post. I think everyone's ready for something faster than 130 bpm. Not sure if everyone out there listens to any UK Garage or even Ghetto Tech or Juke music. But I've grown to quite a liking to it over the past few months or so. I wished there would be more local DJs who'd spin it in the club. It truly is the perfect music to get crowds crazy phreaky in the most positive way possible. The mix below is an exclusive to URB, but I feel that you all should check it out as well. It's about 30 min or so. So it's a nice, short, and sweet taste of what this vibe sounds like. As always keep your musical opinions open and keep the dance floor moving. Infrasonics - Volume 4
Hey there everyone! Before I begin, Nativity’s brought to my attention that we’ve been getting more readers from the UK, France, Germany, and Russia. So thank you guys for checking us out and on behalf of the Dank Radio family, we hope you join us more every week for something different from each of us. Also, be sure to check out our most recent Dank Radio broadcast with an exclusive hip-hop mix by dubstep producer Jakwob!
Dank Radio - King's Day Buffet (1-15-11) by dankradio
With that said, here’s another week of Infrasonics and I’d like to start off by featuring a release made by my cousin who goes by Rally J.
Rally J - Caution (album) [Listen and download at http://rallyj.bandcamp.com/album/caution]
Rally J makes chiptunes (8-bit music) using an original Nintendo Game Boy with LSDJ, which is pretty much a music workstation for the Game Boy platform. I really dig the fact that they sound like the soundtrack for a video game, but at the same time, very danceable. Check out this and his other release and feel free to download them!
Fabricated - Pinay Catfight
So here’s a track that I finished last week. What I have posted here isn’t a completely finished version, but it’s close enough. I’m currently working on a 174 BPM drumstep version in addition to a remix for a friend of mine in San Diego, CA. I might include all 3 of these in a release soon on bandcamp or something. Check out the track and let me know what you think!

Late Night Alumni - It’s Not Happening (Original Mix) [Purchase: Beatport | Juno]
This track came out a few days ago and being a fan of Late Night Alumni, I had to check this one out. “It’s Not Happening” starts out with some reverse samples, and then some cymbals and a synth kick in, and right when the vocals come in, a shuffling garage beat and a discrete yet deep bassline come in and that’s where it gets me. Also, check out the Kaskade mix too if you’re into progressive house.
Merce - Memories [Purchase: Beatport | Juno]
Here’s another track with a garage beat on it that I stumbled upon looking at the new tracks that came out this week. Very relaxing and ambient sounding with some Burial-esque drums and sampling. I recommend checking out the other track on this release, Watchtower, which is equally as relaxing with a dubstep beat, some really deep bass, and what I take to be a smooth and sexy saxaphone sample drowned in reverb in the back.
George Fitzgerald - Don’t You [Purchase: Juno]
Being a fan of anything Hotflush Recordings releases, this just came out today and when I heard it, I felt that I should post this up. I really dig the vocal sample every few beats along with the chilled out beat and fat bassline underneath those drums. Highly recommend if you were digging the last two tracks I posted along with artists like Joy Orbison, Scuba, or Breakage.
Jakes - Claw [Puchase: Juno | Bleep]
All I really have to say about this track can be summed up in two words – HUGE DROP! Crank up the bass for this one! Massive bassline, sick top line coming in around a minute, and really punchy reverberated drums will give you your daily dose of filth. If you’re a fan of Skream, Benga, or basically anything dark, heavy, and filthy, I highly recommend this track.
Skream & Benga on Radio 1 - In New DJ’s We Trust
I think the tracks on this broadcast as well as Skream & Benga themselves should be enough reason why you should listen to this radio broadcast (over and over).
