Steve Aoki & Laidback Luke feat. Lil Jon - Turbulence [Music Video]

Steve Aoki [Dim Mak] Official | Laidback Luke [Mixmash] Official

I completely forgot that they were filming that night when [e]ccentric and I went down to The Grove to watch Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, and Wild Bill. It could of been the fact that the line outside was incredibly disorganized and it took us about 2 hrs to finally get in. But let's leave those negative thoughts in the past and turn to more enjoyable thoughts of the present. The video below only shows a glimpse of the magnitude of fun that we all experienced that night. Laidback Luke's set was killer and it was then that I realized that I would have to seek out his smaller venue shows. It's at these shows where he really flexes his muscles as a DJ and really digs deep into his crates. I've included a couple bonus goodies from my crates down below as well.

Magnetic Man - Whip My Hair [Live Video]

Magnetic Man: Official | Facebook

Below you will find Skream + Benga + Artwork = Magnetic Man perform Whip My Hair by Willow Smith. This will have to be my third or fourth video of watching them perform "live" with laptops and all. I'm still curious as to who's on which program and which computer is running the time code and leading the session. If anyone can shed some light on this please let us know!

Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers [Live Video]

Lykke Li - Official | Facebook | Twitter

You're probably starting to notice a pattern with a handful of my posts. I'm quite fond of stripped down acoustic versions of great songs. To me, the core of any good pop[pop as in popular. ABAB type structure] song is the ability to take away all the bells & whistles and only perform the song with just the vocals and a guitar/piano accompaniment. There's just something about the simplicity that resonates into the soul of the listeners...

Tyler The Creator - Yonkers [Music Video]

Tyler The Creator [Odd Future] : Official

I was going to include this in the post I did for their Jimmy Fallon performance but this music video deserves a post of it's own.

Our friends Vincent and Jochen from Sound of Stereo are gearing up for their upcoming release titled, Hurricane EP. It's slated for a March 14th release date and to help us deal with our own impatience, they've compiled their current favorites and provided us with a fun mix. They've sprinkled in a few of their tracks, a few from their friends that have yet to be released, and a few personal favorites of mine (Harvard Bass - Pruno and Siriusmo - Feromonikon). Dank Radio supporters from Australia be ready. Sound of Stereo is set to perform throughout the Future Music Festival 2011.

Odd Future - Sandwitches LIVE on Jimmy Fallon [Live Video]

Odd Future: Official

About a week ago, G1ocks told [e]ccentric and I to check out this group's performance on Jimmy Fallon. I had it all loaded up in 720p but he told me to wait a second and to pull up another video to watch first. The clip was A Tribe Called Quest & Leaders of The New School's performance of Scenario on The Aresenio Hall show from 1992. G1ocks then proceeded to explain who the Leaders of The New School were and to pay close attention to Busta Rhymes' performance. So when we finally watched Tyler, The Creator and Hodgy Beats of Odd Future (OFWGKTA | Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) perform Sandwitches, it all clicked. Do you see the similarities in energy?
