Nikolas Degas, meet everyone. Everyone, meet Nikolas Degas. The French/American Santa Monica native introduced himself to me recently and I'm so glad he did. To be completely honest, I've been so absorbed in these new bassy sounds that I've forgotten how fantastic good ol' electro/house can be. And with guys like Mr. Degas making noises like this, we can be certain electro's here to stay.
What we've got for you here today is his remix of Swedish House Mafia's "Don't You Worry Child." The original was always fine to me, but it was only just fine. I never felt the energy quite as much as I do when I push play on this version. It's harder hitting and, in my opinion, just a lot more fun.
