Lightning In a Bottle [Do Lab]: Official | Facebook | Twitter | Buy Tickets

With the Do Lab's Lightning in a Bottle festival just a few days away, I would like to take the time to share some of the artists that everyone should check out this weekend at LIB (if you're not going to the festival you should check out the great music anyways!). Thanks to the Do Lab for putting together such an awesome line up. Although some of the names on the flyer didn't hit me at first, I realized that this only meant a whole new world that I've yet to dive into of fresh up and coming artists perfect for my hungry ears and eyes...

Emancipator [Friday: 6:45pm @ Bamboo Stage] - (Hydeout Productions (Japan); 1320 Records US)
This young producer delivers a fresh, original, and organic style of Electronica, Trip-hop, Downtempo tunes that anyone and everyone can enjoy. Currently residing in Portland, Oregon, Emancipator has received worldwide success for his debut album "Soon It Will Be Cold Enough, which was picked up, pressed, and pushed by the late great Japanese super-producer Nujabes (RIP). Check out these two tracks below to get a teaser of what's in store on Friday night at LIB. Also be sure to check out Emancipator's bandcamp for more music including a couple free downloads!

Lucent Dossier Experience [Friday: 11:25pm @ Lightning Stage]
The first time I encountered the Lucent Dossier Experience was at Coachella '09 when I first stumbled upon the world of the Do Lab. Initially I was in awe from the creativity of the Do Lab stage design. Next I was drawn closer and closer to the front of the stage by the positive vibrations that the crowd emitted. Finally, the unique stimulating performance of Lucent Dossier topped off my Do Lab experience and I was instantly a fan, more so a follower and supporter of the experience as a whole. There really is no words to describe the Lucent Dossier Experience, you must taste and see for yourself. Here's a little sample..

Mimosa (Friday: 12:30 AM @ Lightning Stage) - [False Idol Musik/Multi Music]
"Crunk-Step Dub-Hop for the Soul." Tigran MiMOSA is yet another young up and coming producer on the Lightning in a bottle line up that is a must see for all festival attendees. If you're from halfway around the world and have not the slightest chance of joining us this weekend at the festival, feel free to dive into the song below anyways, you'll be doing yourself a huge favor! MiMOSA began producing at the age of 17 and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. He's recently shared the stage with the likes of Benga, Skream, Rusko, Datsik, Glitch Mob, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar and Flying Lotus, playing shows across North America and festivals including Coachella, Symbiosis Gathering, Burning Man, Decibel Festival and the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. He's even started his own label called False Idol Musik where he released his latest EP: 58 Degrees. Be sure to check out the song below & the website for a free download of the EP.

Also, be sure to check out our latest Dank Radio Live Broadcast, featuring more Lightning in a Bottle artists, including another MiMOSA banger sprinkled in!
