The Temper Trap - Rabbit Hole [Track Preview + Forthcoming Album]

The Temper Trap has been one of my all-time favorite bands to listen to wherever I am and whatever I'm doing. This Australian band's album Conditions was released more or less 2 1/2 years ago and after having their single "Sweet Disposition" featured on (500) Days Of Summer (or as I like to sometimes refer to as 500 Days Of Bummer; you'll get it if you watch the movie), they were launched into the mainstream and almost everyone around me knew who they were, even if they didn't listen to a whole lot of indie rock music. I was pretty excited when I saw this posted up yesterday because I've been waiting for the day that The Temper Trap announces their next album.

Bassrush presents Funktion Wednesdays: Photek & Reso @ Dim Mak Studios 02/08/12 [Concert Review]

This was my first time attending a Bassrush event as well as attending an event at the Dim Mak Studios in Hollywood, formerly known as the Cinespace. Bassically (see what I did there?), I didn't know what to expect, which I felt was a good thing, because it meant that I had no expectations (good or bad) walking in. After spending a good amount of time looking for parking, I finally was able to get to the venue. Although I was a bit late, I managed to get there right when Reso was starting his set.

Mark Reeve, Plastic Plates ( Fresh Mix Wednesday )

We got some fresh new mixes for you from Soma Records and  Slothboogie, first off we will start with some Techno, and move to some disco house. The first mix by Mark Reeves (Soma podcast) is pure Techno, This set is just very deep and original and just simply excellent. Even if your not a techno fan this mix will open the door for you. Next up we have Plastic Plates, we move to a more dance and up beat mood on this one, very disco house but perfect for a long car ride. and some really good tracks too. Enjoy!
