Feed Me w/ Teeth + AC Slater @ Music Box | The Henry Fonda 3/17/12 [Concert Review]

Feed Me w/ Teeth + AC Slater + @ Music Box | The Henry Fonda 3/17/12

The forecast for that evening was rain and during the whole drive to the re-opened Music Box/Henry Fonda we couldn't help but think about how late we were and how early it was for a headliner to be performing. The week prior at the Palladium for Laidback Luke's Super You & Me event we arrived around the same time and we caught the second act for a full night's event that would last until 5am. So it was a surprise that as we walked up the Hollywood Blvd steps the sidewalk was completely empty. Sure it was raining, but it was Feed Me right? This show was supposed to be sold out. No matter, as Eccentric and I entered the venue we thought about how we, along with so many concert goers + bass heads, have expressed how much we've missed this venue. The rumble of the infrasonic frequencies underneath your feet is not to be forgotten. Making our way across the various festively dressed St. Patty's day attendants, Feed Me's TEETH lit the entire venue. At this point we knew we were in for a special night...

Jon Gooch aka Spor aka Feed Me will be making a stop with his Teeth along w/ AC Slater + FIXYN this Saturday March 17th @ The Music Box/Henry Fonda in Hollywood. Many of his shows on his US Tour have sold out and we're truly honored to be covering this event for Dank Radio[Many thanks to Ben @ wantickets.com for facilitating this]. We've been fans of Feed Me's production work prior to the revelation of his not so secret identity, Jon Gooch. Having worked with the likes of Kill The Noise, Gemini, Hadouken, and Tasha Baxter, his solid production techniques shine through the various forms of Electro House, Moombahton, and Dubstep. For those who still may be unfamiliar with his work head down below to stream his latest EP, Escape From Electric Mountain [Purchase @ iTunes | Beatport].

Nero - Reaching Out [Music Video]

Nero's Welcome Reality has quickly become one of my favorite albums this year. Their debut album is packed with back to back favorites perfect for adventures on the road and/or top flight sessions in your headphones. Dive into the music video for their latest single Reaching Out. The synths in this song give me goosebumps.

Enjoy

Hard New Year's Eve - Set Times

Official Website | Purchase Tickets

Sometime during this past summer Destructo was interviewed by a national publication about his plans for his Birthday this year and he stated that he wasn't doing anything. We actually believed this up until the point where he posted the line up for this years Hard New Year's Eve party. He's going strong right up until the year ends and there is no doubt in our mind that this party will be anything but the definition of the word Fun. With a line up including Brodinski (I didn't have a chance to check out his set during HHM), Congorock (Amazing set of releases this year!), Mr. Oizo (Be sure to pick up a copy of the Rubber Soundtrack), and local favorite Harvard Bass, this will surely be one of the premiere events in Los Angeles to ring in 2011. Check out the set times down below.

Major props to Hard Fest for continuing their exclusive mix series throughout the year. They had one with Erol Alkan for Hard Summer, one with Busy P & Brodinsky for Hard Haunted and they're finishing off this year with a mix by Harvard Bass. I've seen Harvard Bass rock crowds with no more than 25 people as well as a packed house at Avalon. His mix below is a great summary of what he can do when you're ready for #paritaim.
