Cut & Slice - Rippin' (Stream)

Cut & Slice, as some of you may know, is easily one of the biggest electro-house EDM names coming out of Helsinki, Finland. When we first heard his triumphant "Complex'd" earlier this summer, it was game on immediately. We simply could not wait to hear what more the man, Mikael Karpinnen, had in store.

Today we are more than pleased to witness his latest see the light of day. Out today on Plasmapool Media Entertaiment, "Rippin'" combines strong chordal elements, captivating leads and the signature glitchy Cut & Slice sound. This one's a solid heater, perfect for hopping on that ass upon the dancefloor. Get it!

Fourmi - Fuckcentrique (Stream)

Fourmi is a 23 year old French/British producer coming out of Paris. "Fuckcentrique" is the second track off his self-released debut LP Glottal Stop, and it's the one that caught my attention. He says, "From a producer's point of view it is relatively simple as it was recorded on only four tracks (2 samplers + 2 synths). I think I made 90% of the track in one inspired afternoon, excluding the intro. I would describe it as the pathetic cry of a dying synthesizer trying to make sense but doesn't. It is a nonsensical EDM track." I'm down with it. Reminds me a bit of Oizo. Check it.

Control and Dirtybird present: Claude VonStroke + Justin Martin | Tickets

The OG Dirtybirds are back in Los Angeles! I've been fortunate enough to have experienced both of these fine and funny artists a couple of times this past year. Always with smiles on their faces and enough bass to more our asses, I guaranDAMNtee that you'll be making your booty clap all night long this Friday. If you're not into the booty clapping thing that's fine, I'm sure they'll be having you do all sorts of push up push down dances that'll make even the prettiest birds sing to you "Don't Go" or better yet, "Lezgo!" I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a drum & bass track or two and at the very least JM better bust out his Goldie edit of Kemistry. If you've been paying attention to the more recent Dank Radio editions as well as some of my live mixes you've noticed an increase of the Dirtybirds over time. We seriously can't wait for this show. See you on the dance floor! Purchase your tickets for Control HERE.

Rekstarr - Let It Be (Stream + Download)

Rekstarr started out as a hip-hop producer. He used to bump burnt CDs full of his beats on those endless days waiting at the bus stop, shop class, mackin’ (and failing) some dime ass bitches in between classes, etc... Being raised on that real hip hop -- Dilated Peoples, DJ Premier, etc. -- Rek’s instrumentals had that raw New York flavor everyone loves.

While he still produces that raw hip hop shit, Rek’s influences and surroundings have made him venture musically. His cycle is now complete. Rekstarr has the ability to sound great in whatever genre he touches. “It’s not even about the genre, I never want to feel restricted. It’s about sitting down and making whatever the hell you like and feel like making at the time,” he says. And a few years ago, he ventured into house.

I was tired of getting fucked over by the industry. I just wanted to share my music with those out there who appreciate great music and reach out for their love. What better way to do that than with a free album?Revolved is all original beats using just Beatles samples. The album is a journey, from the introduction to the very end. Take one track out and it’s like taking out a scene from a blockbuster. Don’t be afraid to press play and just late it take you. Revolved is one hell of an album. Jam out and show some respect to my boy.

Download Revolver through DatPiff here. And be sure to stop by Rek's Facebook for more.

Jeff Sontag - Loose Wiring (Stream + Download)

Jeff Sontag, where the hell did you come from?

The man comes out of Los Angeles, producing and writing big electronic sounds, and singing and spitting over them with his strong, often angst-driven voice. It's good to hear a talent like this. It's rare!

"Loose Wiring" is the defining track. Think the energy of Skrillex mixed with the lyricism of Eminem all tied together with the melodic touch of a seasoned songwriter like John Mayer... That’s Jeff Sontag. "Loose Wiring" starts off heavy, transitions into a hard hip/hop beat, and quickly builds to an arena electro-house anthem. His style has never been heard before and yet rings accessible to any listener upon first play. This is brand new. You are hearing the first breath of "electro singer/songwriter" as a genre.

The Morose Project - Overcoat Battalion (Stream + Download)

The Morose Project is a live electronic act formed in early 2010 by Samuel Barba & Tarek Nasr. Morose intends to give birth to a new sound and experience, by combining live instrumentation with an electronic minimalist structure. According to Tarek, this track "'Overcoat Battalion' reflects a brief point in time when life seems to stand still; right before a life changing event. In this case, the day before a major battle. Its about the raw emotions that you feel right when something big is going to happen and you not knowing the certainty of the outcome. That feeling in the pit of your stomach when you are certain that your life will change after the event." Can't wait to catch these dudes live!

Boy Manik - His Name Was Lahoony (Stream + Download)

Our boy Zach aka Boy Manik dropped off some new tunes for us this weekend and here is the delivery. "His Name Was Lahoony" is the biggest shit I've heard from him yet. He's definitely on the way. I can't wait to see what's in store for him.

Daft Punk - Technologic (Matiz Remix) [Stream + Download]

Matiz is back with a strong remix of Daft Punk's classic "Technologic." It's got a cool industrial, dirty electro sound, but also a pretty melodic piano build-up before falling down in the dirt again. It's definitely a fun little take on the anthem, so pick it up now as a free download.

Natanael – Ants Kingdome Comes (Stream)

Natanael hit us up a week or two ago with an interesting cross genre track blending dubstep and electronic. It's cool stuff. I started talking to him a bit and about his project he says, "'Ants Kingdom Comes' started in my mind after i was invaded by ants. I didn't find anything to stop the ants from taking control of my apartment. The feeling in the songs are a bit stressed and dark could have something to do with the situation." This totally sucks, but on the bright side it brought about a track like this.

Worship - Forever Orion (Stream)

Worship spent most of his teenage years in his parents' basement playing with old synthesizers. As he was way ahead of his time back then, he forgot all about them synths throughout his college years... Until he discovered Kavinsky and the greatness of Valerie which brought him straight back to his first love, ending up with The Dome, a compilation of three wonderful handcrafted epic synth anthems. Two EPs followed, Out There and Horizon including remixes signed by artists like Justin Faust, The Phantom's Revenge, Steve Moore and Jay Lamar & Jesse Oliver.

What we have for you here today, is "Forever Orion," which is a leak off Close Encounter, his third EP. We'll have that for you in a few weeks.

Televisor ft. Patrick Baker - Run Away (Stream)

We first heard about Patrick Baker via the beautiful "Get 2 Know U." Now we've discovered more. After completing a remix of "Get 2 Know U," Televisor and Patrick had to get together for a collaboration. And we are very glad they did. "Run Away" is a combination of Televisor's funky and infectious, vintage-meets-modern music production and Patrick's keen melodic sensibilities. The single drops November 5th on Kiez Beats with a Beatport pre-release on the 22nd of this month. Look out for it.

Live Broadcast - OCTO feat. DLX (10.06.12)

Tomasz Betka ft. Yvonne Gage - The World Can't Bring You Down (Stream)

Lounge track master Tomasz Betka just sent us his new video and stream for "The World Can't Bring You Down" featuring lovely vocals from Yvonne Gage. The video gives us a glimpse at Tomasz and Yvonne in some incredibly dope studio recording the track. I want to get in there more than anything. Look at all the toys!

Flume - Sleepless (Ellio Remix) [Stream]

We featured Ellio here a little over a week ago with a dope track off his debut beat tape. Check here if you missed it. He hit me back over the weekend with this trappy, hip-hop remix of Flume's "Sleepless" much to my surprise. I love what he's done to it. This 19 year old is definitely someone to keep an eye on.

Tobtok - Pressure (Revisited) [Stream + Download]

Tobtok is a Swedish disco-house producer that I simply cannot get enough of... I was introduced to his music earlier this summer and I've been rocking it ever since. A couple days ago, he released a free download of "Pressure," which apparently is a track he went back and "revisited." It's awesome in any regard. Grab that and, as a bonus, grab his remix of a Bingo Players classic... Enjoy!

La Zebra - Night Grooves (Stream + Download)

Who's in the mood for some good, sandy disco? That's just what this new La Zebra track has to offer. There's a story behind this track that can be found here. Basically, this is an old track that La Zebra solo-member Luigi did with his LBCK teammate Alex. It was never released unfortunately. But yesterday, Luigi decided to let it go for free... And boy are we glad he did!

LMFAO - Shots (Bobby Green Remix) [Stream + Download]

We were introduced to the very impressive Bobby Green a couple days ago. He hit us back with this... Now, not a huge fan of LMFAO, and I know it's fucked up to say, but was kind of stoked to hear they broke up and are no more. However, I can't deny that they make good party music. Girls get very weird when their tracks come on the big speakers. Our new friend Bobby Green has taken "Shots" and turned it up another level. Check it out.

Boy Manik - Unleashed (Stream + Download)

Boy Manik is a 22 year old producer out of Chicago. His debut track "Unleashed" is a monster progressive, house anthem. I asked him to tell me a little bit about the music and here's what the man had to say: "I would say that ["Unleashed" is] my first successful track in terms of the type of music I would like to continue making. It's part progressive/electro, and I guess even a bit trance-y, as some local trance labels actually liked it, but I wouldn't label it trance by any means. It's not crazy all over the place electro, like a lot of the electro tracks being produced today. It's much more repetitive, and I really like hard, filthy repetitive basslines." And so do we. We're definitely looking forward to more from him.

Hit up Boy Manik on Facebook and Twitter.
