The Weeknd - Rolling Stone (Truth Remix) [Free Download]

Truth - Facebook | Twitter | Soundcloud

By now many of you have heard The Weeknd's track Rolling Stone. Some of you have engaged in a whole array of acts to the music that may or may not include wide ranging sexual activities to simply moving around town minding your own business. For the bass inclined we've searched for proper musical transmutations of any and all of The Weeknd's tracks and have come up short. Fortunately for us, Truth has come to relieve us of our search. Bonus points for appropriate cover art + allowing us to download the track for free.

Jon of Pickle Productions & Quality Control [Featured Interview + Upcoming Event]

Pickle Productions present: Quality Control w/ Badklaat + Coffi + Megalodon | Tickets | Info

It's a new year and we like to start things off with a fresh vibe for Dank Radio. With the growing emergence of bass music locally here in the Los Angeles/Orange County region some have begin to feel the need of more deep vibes and less of the tear up/mid-range dubstep that has been prominent. We love all types and vibes, but sometimes it's nice to listen to proper lower frequencies and meditate on some bass music. Cue in, Jon of Pickle Productions who's throwing his first Quality Control event this Friday with the following line up: Coffi [Monsters/Gentlemens Club/DubstepFM/UK] + Badklaat [Dubstar/Bassclash/UK] + 2Mex [The Visionaries] + MC Kemst [SMOG/Pure Filth] +SamXL [Pure Filth] + Pavarotti b2b DJ Stax + Blankface b2b Maze Dubs and sound provided by Pure Filth. It's going to be a great way to start this year of fresh so let's take a few minutes to find out who's behind it all...

Captain Murphy - Duality [Official Video + Audio Visual Art + Free Download + NSFW]

Captain Murphy - Duality [Official | Album Download | Album Instrumental Download]
We've been spinning a few of the Captain Murphy tracks over the past couple episodes of Dank Radio.  It's a VERY interesting concept album/movie.  G1ockz introduced it to us many months ago and we had a few ideas of who it may have been. If you've been living in a stasis pod lately and have barely woken up to the new age of 2013 and are wondering who the f)(ck Captain Murphy is, have no fear. It's none other than godfather of the LA beat scene, Flying Lotus. I can only guess the concept of this album/video originated on a strange DMT trip that was later influenced on a binge of 1980s and 1990s television. Whatever his muse may have been, it's definitely a trip to take once or twice or thrice. Beware if you are a bit queazy and if you are viewing this at work later this week. I would wait until you're on your 1hr lunch break and on your iPad to view it. Don't say we didn't warn you. Seat belts please...

SMOG Presents: Joker + Plastician + Footsie + Son Of Kick @ The Observatory 1/12/13 [Upcoming Event + Ticket Giveaway]

SMOG presents: Joker + Plastician @ The Observatory | Tickets

Not too long ago when Fabricated approached Drew of SMOG to say "hello" and get some intel on what they had planned for the upcoming year, Drew replied with, "Just wait and see." Around that time Joker tweeted something to the affect of "USA NYE & January!" I had a gut feeling, but I wasn't sure. Now it's for sure and everyone in the LA/LB/OC area is buzzing with excitement. The last time he was here was for Beyond Wonderland. I don't even remember what year that was. So we're long overdue for Purple City. Put your Sega controller down and purchase your tickets HERE. Also performing: Plastician + Footsie (Newham Generals) + Son Of Kick + Pawn [SMOG] + Kelly Dean [SMOG]. We're also giving away a pair of tickets to the show on our upcoming Dank Radio program Awakening  featuring EshOne this Saturday Morning January 5th on KPFK 90.7FM LA // www.kpfk.org WoldWideStream. Tune in from 4am-6am and Call 818 985 5735 for your chance to win...
