Room8 - Neon And Dice (Stream)

Last week we introduced Room8, Ezra and Nic, and the beautiful lead single off their upcoming album, Transduction. If you missed it, check here. Today we've got another leading track off the album, "Neon and Dice," an instrumental that features Ian Young of M83 on the sax. Group member Ezra says it best: "We love the saxophone and feel it is an instrument which marries very well to synth driven music in painting a vibe and a visual scene..." I couldn't possibly disagree. And if you're digging Ian's sax work on this, you'll be pleased to know he appears on two other tracks on the record as well.

We're as anxious as you are to see this album come to life. So in the meantime, stay tuned to their Facebook and Twitter.

Room8 ft. Electric Youth - Visions Of You (Stream)

I'm really, really excited about this one. Ezra and Nic, aka ROOM8, are making some of the most amazing music I've heard since the golden days of EDM circa '07. Think Valerie collective... Remember them? Remember those sounds? The heavily synthesized, poppy, sort of retro, 80s-feeling jams we all found romance in? Well, again, I'm really excited about this one, and here's why.

"Visions Of You" is perhaps the lead single on ROOM8's forthcoming debut album Transduction, featuring Electric Youth (heroes!) who especially mesmerizes with her vocal work here. It's a truly beautiful song that, in my opinion, is kind of about things crashing down around you but having that special someone to keep you going.

I can't wait for Transduction to arrive. I was talking to Ezra on the phone the other day and he mentioned some pretty wicked appearances on the record to me, mainly Martha Davis from The Motels, M83 saxophonist Ian Young, guitar work from Giorgio Moroder arranger and guitar player and famed producer, Richie Zito, mixed with Gavin Mackillop (Human League, General Public, Heaven 17).. Honestly, if this was the mid-1980s, this would be a whole 'nother game. This track would top the charts in a flash.

Talk to ROOM8 on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr. And definitely be sure to listen to some more music on SoundCloud.

Slow Magic - Sorry Safari [Music Video]

Slow Magic : Facebook | Bandcamp

I guess I'm on a roll today. I don't know how and why I always seem to stumble upon really really good music late at night/early in the morning. Maybe it's because my mind is at it's clearest point in the night. Maybe it's because day time activity and thought process is overrated. Maybe that's just how sh)(t happens. Any hoo, I clicked here and there and now we're at Slow Magic's track Sorry Safari. If you trip out to the video and want to be reminded of that visual trip each time through auditory means, you can purchase the track off of their bandcamp page here. If you like the music, but you can barely afford gas right now let alone a track, help the artist by passing the video along to someone who may enjoy it.
