I'm used to hearing blaring horns over fast paced upbeat Ska music. The folks in Rubblebucket seem to incorporate them so well in their style of music. I'm not entirely sure what exactly is their style but I do know it is fun and it is catchy. Their colorful sound makes me imagine nothing short of a great time at one of their shows and the video goes to show that Rubblebucket live is exactly that, a fun great time! I've got to get to the bottom of what their musical influences are sooner or later. I've been meaning to catch them our here in LA the last few times now but haven't made it so i'm excited to hear that they will be back on tour this spring. I found out about this band sometime earlier this summer through a little ad on the side of facebook that said download our album for FREE! I took my chances and went on ahead and downloaded their album Omega La La. To my surprise I had come across a collection fun tunes to enjoy during my summer adventures. Omega La La was produced by Eric Broucek (LCD Soundsystem, !!!, Holy Ghost) @ DFA Studios & mastered by Joe Lambert (Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Herbie Hancock).
