A week has passed and enough time has gone by to allow all the memories of a great memorial day weekend to sink deep into the cavities and secret back doors of the mind's infinite hallways. School is out for most, if not all and the weather was perfect for an afternoon of sun + music + fun. Before we get into the actual festival let's back track and explain how we got there: After repeated unanswered attempts [lost track of how many e-mails] fate would smile down upon us the weekend before the event when we met Cole and his fellow Bruins of JazzReggae Fest post interview with TruthSeekers [Shout out Santana & Crew!]. Brief introduction + exchange of contacts + a handful more e-mails = green light for Dank Radio to review the event. Despite all the parties, clubs, concerts, etc. we tend to frequent, we here at Dank Radio love community events. For the people, by the people. So we're delightfully surprised that we were sent the documentary below celebrating the 25th Annual JazzReggae Festival at UCLA. We had so many questions about how the event came about and who was responsible for organizing it. This was THE perfect way to answer all of our questions. Not to mention give a voice to the people behind the scenes and have them explain what the JazzReggae Fest means to them. If you look closely you can see L from Truth Seekers Radio make an appearance [Shout out to Santana and the whole crew].
